Find answers to the most common questions about our quad bike tours in Rethymno, Crete. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Do I need a driver’s license to drive the quad?
Yes, absolutely. By Greek traffic law, to drive a quad bike (ATV) on public roads, you must hold a valid, physical driver’s license for passenger cars (Category B in Europe, or equivalent international/national license). A motorcycle license is NOT sufficient. The driver must also have held the license for at least one year.
What are the age limits for drivers and passengers?
To be a driver on our quad tours, you must be at least 19 years old and hold a valid car license. For passengers, the minimum age is 5 years old for safety and comfort reasons.
Is hotel pickup and transfer included in the price?
Yes, free hotel transfer is included for all hotels and apartments located within the Rethymno region (including Prines, Atsipopoulo, Rethymno Town, Adelianos Kampos, Platanias, Sfakaki, etc.). When booking, simply let us know your hotel name, and we will arrange the pickup time.
What should I wear and bring with me on the tour?
We recommend wearing comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dusty. Closed-toe shoes (sneakers or hiking shoes) are mandatory—no flip-flops or open sandals are allowed for safety reasons. You should also bring your physical driver’s license, sunglasses, sunscreen, swimwear, and a towel (we stop for swimming!).
Are your quad bikes automatic or manual?
Our entire fleet consists of modern, powerful CFMOTO 450L quads which feature fully automatic transmissions. They are very easy and safe to ride: there is no clutch or manual gear shifting. You simply use the thumb throttle to accelerate and hand/foot brakes to slow down. We provide a full safety briefing and practice run before setting off.
How do we book a tour and pay?
You can easily book your ATV tour by filling out the form on our Contact / Book Now page. No deposit or pre-payment is required! You can pay on the day of the tour at our office using cash or credit/debit card.
